When Andrea’s opened at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, chef Joseph Elevado left his post at the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star L’Ermitage Beverly Hills and headed to Sin City. It’s not his first stint in Las Vegas though. After attending New York Restaurant School, Elevado joined the infamous Nobu team at Nobu Next Door, where he was the head kitchen chef. Two years in New York was enough before he worked his way up to chef de cuisine at Nobu Las Vegas in the Hard Rock Hotel, and to the title of executive chef.
The well-known chef was at Nobu Las Vegas for seven years before joining Pure Management Group as the executive chef at Social House Restaurant. Elevado packed his bags and left Las Vegas in 2011 to be the executive chef at L’Ermitage. But it was only a matter of time — a little less than two years in this case — before he returned. Chef Elevado joined the Encore team in December 2012 to open the Asian-inspired restaurant.
