Chef Masa Takayama follows up his New York success with barMASA, located within ARIA at CityCenter. The restaurant is actually two in one. At barMASA, guests dine on simply prepared, traditional Japanese fare in a sleek and open space that resembles a large airport hangar. The menu changes seasonally and includes a variety of sushi and sashimi, as well as dishes such as uni risotto with truffles and Peking duck with foie gras. The more intimate Shaboo seats just 54 and offers an omakase menu that focuses on the Japanese variant of a "hot pot," known as shabu-shabu, where guests cook meats and vegetables in a shared pot of bubbling broth. It's an exclusive, tranquil and rare dining experience.
