The best tables at Carnevino are next to the windows in the main dining room. Specifically, you should request tables 64 or 66, which give you a greater sense of space, thanks to the large windows framed with curtains (though don’t bother looking out of those windows; there’s no view here). You’ll enjoy a great vantage point from either table while dining on chef Mario Batali’s and vintner Joe Bastianich’s mix of great American meats and international wines. The main dining room has an Italian-villa feel to it, and when you combine the décor with the ambience, you’ll feel as if you’re dining as an Italian aristocrat would — but without all the frilly stuffiness.
