What is the menu like at Carnevino?

The menu at Carnevino is pretty straightforward: Italian steakhouse cuisine, with an emphasis on wine. The brainchild of celebrity chef Mario Batali and vintner Joe Bastianich, Carnevino combines high-quality American meat and an international wine list to give the Palazzo an original take on traditional steakhouse fare.

The lunch menu at Carnevino includes just a handful of choices within each section, including salads, appetizers, pasta and entrees. There also are lunchtime specials, such as the Carnevino burger, made with pancetta and onion, Gorgonzola or cheddar cheese, and your choice of arugula salad or house-made chips.

For dinner, you’ll have antipasti, pasta and a host of terrific meat options, including veal, beef, lamb and pork. Put together a meal with the carne cruda alla Piemontese —a steak tartare chopped to order with raw mushrooms — the black fettuccine made with crab, jalapeños and shallots, and a dry-aged, bone-in rib-eye.

Carnivores will want to opt for the Italian steakhouse’s special beef tasting menu, which gives you flights of the restaurant’s special meat options. You’ll get to sample portions of such terrific meats as Wagyu beef crudo, beef cheek ravioli and wet-aged Piemontese beef.

The mix of hormone- and antibiotic-free meats, Italian flair and seasonal produce combine for a menu you won’t find anywhere else—even in Batali and Bastianich’s famous fleet of restaurants.
