Joël Robuchon is the legendary chef behind the eponymous restaurant at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Robuchon, one of the most famous chefs in the world, began cooking in his native France; today, his empire extends from Paris to New York, Las Vegas, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Macau and Monaco. Robuchon originally retired at age 50, but his passions drew him to come out of retirement and open more restaurants.
The executive chef at Joël Robuchon is Claude Le Tohic. The James Beard Award winner for Best Chef in the Southwest in 2010, Le Tohic works closely with Robuchon at the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant. He began his partnership with Robuchon in 1987, when he began working at Jamin, Robuchon’s first restaurant in Paris. Now Le Tohic works with him at his first U.S. restaurant, Joël Robuchon in Las Vegas.
