Lakeside

Stunning seafood and a show
VERIFIED LUXURY
Named for its location overlooking Wynn Las Vegas’ Lake of Dreams and its dramatic curtain waterfall, this fine seafood, chops and steakhouse’s patio offers prime views of the nightly spectacle-filled music show. There are many large circular tables for smaller groups, but luckily there is no bad seat in this house.

Procuring the best sustainable and seasonal seafood for his diners inspires chef David Middleton. The cuisine is simply prepared to let the natural flavors of the ingredients shine through. Arrange your menu with both seafood and red meat — so that you can truly experience chef’s contemporary selections.

Be sure to ask for any specials of the day — the waitstaff is knowledgeable about the components of all these creative special dishes.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • This is an enchanting place for group dining — in addition to serving gourmet food family style, the Las Vegas restaurant also has a private dining room seating 45 that overlooks the lake.
  • From the modern dining room, you will see the two points of inspiration — the water of the fabulous Lake of Dreams, and the open view of the kitchen, the place where the culinary catches of the sea are prepared for you.
  • Order dishes like chilled oysters, New Zealand Big Glory Bay king salmon and lobster scampi.
  • Lakeside is the only restaurant in the Western Hemisphere to offer live, fresh-caught langoustines from European waters.
  • Indulge in the rotating selection of oven-roasted lobsters and king crab, prepared simply or chill-rubbed, served with drawn, basil yuzu or harissa butters. Expect choices like rock lobster, Maine lobster and prime cut king crab legs, among others.
Things to Know
  • Light shows run nightly on the half-hour from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., the shows becoming more psychedelic as the night goes on. Crowd favorites include the singing frog, the flowers that open above the waterfall and sway to the music, and the ball “dance.”
  • Choose a seat on the patio for best viewing. There are nine different creative shows, just perfect for starting out a romantic evening.
The Food
  • The menu includes items designed for sharing, especially starters such as the chilled seafood platter piled high with jumbo shrimp, Alaskan king crab legs, Maine lobster and oysters.
  • Those who want a taste of the surf and turf will be pleased with the chile-rubbed rib-eye steak and prime king crab duo. The spicy flavor of the steak contrasts perfectly with the sweet and buttery king crab. The peppers and broccolini served on the side complement the flavors of both meats.
  • The perfectly cooked tender grilled octopus is one of the most popular dishes on the Lakeside menu. It is paired with a garlicky aioli, baby potatoes and arugula.
  • Playful desserts include a vanilla-whipped panna cotta with strawberry meringue and strawberry-rose sorbet, a chocolate souffle with Heering cherry liqueur sauce, stracciatella ice cream and amarena cherries, and a Kauai sugarloaf pineapple upside-down cake with brown sugar toffee and coconut sorbet. Dairy-free diners will enjoy the vegan carrot cake served with a pleasantly crisp walnut brittle.
The Look
  • Lakeside’s sophisticated and elegant contemporary American look was designed by Vegas legend Roger Thomas, former executive vice president of design and development for Wynn Resorts.
  • The bold dining room is decorated in orange, gold and bright white tones with padded orange banquettes and booths.
  • The dining room contains white resin tables and mosaic marble floors. The tables are topped with woven place mats and white porcelain dishes. The black linen napkins are embroidered with a line of bold lime green.
  • There are a few exotic touches, such as columns sculpted from preserved strangler fig vines and mirrored angels descending from the ceiling.
