If you want to cool off from the desert heat, Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Spa Mio offers use of M Resort's Villaggio Del Sole Pool and Entertainment Piazza. The entire area covers more than 100,000 square feet, which includes two 5,460-square-foot heated infinity pools. There are plenty of lounge chairs on the deck for you and your friends to spread out your beach towel, lean back and bask in the rays of the sun. Music plays throughout the outdoor area and you’ll find two full-service bars, perfect for poolside munchies or sipping on spirits. You can also sit back and relax in one of the two Jacuzzis, which are surrounded by fire torches. Both pools are only four feet deep and also have wading pools to accommodate everyone. While there is no charge for hotel guests to use the pool, there is a nominal fee for those not staying at M Resort (find the latest admission pricing at www.themresort.com).
Be sure to check out the luxurious cabanas and daybeds that are available to rent so you can lounge like a king or queen. The cabanas feature chaise lounges along with their own LCD televisions, iHome docking stations and ceiling fans. Up your luxurious level a notch and rent a VIP cabana, which is closer to the entertainment piazza and more secluded from the other guests. The VIP cabanas offer everything that the regular cabanas do except that they also have a personal hot tub, a private shower and access to a private sundeck. Talk about VIP. If you just want a comfortable place to lounge without all the amenities, the daybeds are more for you. They’re located between the main infinity pools on the deck so you’ll get a view of everything that’s happening around you. Each is covered with a canopy and has curtains, which you can draw for a bit of privacy if you want to nap or just relax sans direct sun. Daybeds and cabanas start at $75 per day and the VIP cabanas are available for $150 per day. Both the daybeds and cabanas may be reserved on the M Resort website. The pool is open seasonally, so check with the hotel before you head outside.
