There is much to experience on your visit to The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas. The Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star spa has some of the best amenities we’ve experienced.
We recommend allowing time for a dip in the Vitality Pool, which also gives you a lovely panoramic view of the Strip. The pool is heated to a warm 104 F. If you become overheated, grab some ice chips from the ice fountain to cool you off.
Otherwise, if you can stand the heat, try relaxing in one of the heated contoured chairs, called Tepidarium Chairs, or step into the Laconium Room, which has contoured bench-style seating and is heated to 140 F. After you’ve sweated out enough toxins, you’ll love the Experience Showers, where allow you to choose from five different shower types, ranging from Arctic Mist to Tropical Rain. The showers feature special lighting, aromas, sounds and different water pressures that simulate different atmospheres.
When deciding on a treatment, consider taking advantage of the spa’s exotic Hammam, a therapy which originated in Turkey that uses intense heat to increase the body’s circulation; it’s performed in a beautiful mosaic-tiled steam room that can hold up to 8 guests. During this treatment, your body will be exfoliated with different scrubs, and afterwards, steam fills the room, leaving you to relax.
For something more familiar, there’s a regular steam room and sauna as well. They might not light up or simulate a rain forest, but they certainly get the job done.
