Special gifts from the chef keep coming throughout your meal at Aqueous, where you’ll enjoy all the little extras that prove this restaurant takes great pride in keeping you happy.
Located in Falling Rock at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in southwestern Pennsylvania, Aqueous specializes in classic steakhouse fare, like dry-aged New York strip steaks and smoked pork chops with housemade barbecue sauce, as well as creative starters such as hominy-crusted scallops with a white chocolate and balsamic risotto and rhubarb vinaigrette.
Before you sink into your order, however, your meal will start with a complimentary amuse-bouche, such as a tasty little corn cake. After you’ve indulged in a main dish and “opportunity” — these giant sides come with steaks and include options like smoked cheddar grits and house mac and cheese — a simple, sweet petit four will arrive at the end of your meal. For us it was a marshmallow, but the petit fours change often so you never know what you’ll get. You might even have the privilege of sampling extra small dishes compliments of the kitchen, such as a refreshing citrus consommé.
The experience at Aqueous restaurant at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort includes an amuse bouche, which is a petite palate teaser to open up your meal. During your dining experience, you will be offered an intermezzo — a bright warm or cold soup that is meant to cleanse your senses before your entrée. After your meal has concluded, you will be treated with mignardise such as infused truffles or chocolate ganaches.
