About Logan, Utah:
Logan, situated in the center of beautiful Cache Valley, is surrounded by snowcapped mountains. The city received its name from an early trapper, Ephraim Logan. Begun by Mormons who were dedicated to living from fruits of the soil, little was sold in Logan's early days except timber and farm produce. The change to a more industrialized economic base came about slowly. Now the city of Logan is the location of Utah State University, five electronics plants, space technology, book printing, plastics, baking, and meat-packing plants, as well as specialized woodworking and locally made craft and collectible shops.
