The Dorchester in London’s posh Mayfair district has a total of 250 rooms, and all of them are a blend of Art Deco elegance and modern conveniences. The 196 guest bedrooms with king, twin, or queen beds start at about $475 per night and rates go up from there for the 51 luxury suites and three ultra-decadent roof suites. Every room at The Dorchester is individually decorated to offer a character all their own, though they all share the hotel’s classic English residential style. You’ll find bathrooms featuring Italian marble, etched glass, and chrome fittings that reflect the Art Deco style popular at the hotel’s inception. While the standard guest rooms are quite luxurious,  if you really want to reach new heights, head for one of the hotel’s three roof suites, which have tariffs starting at $6,400. Created by New York-based interior designer Alexandra Champalimaud, the contemporary suites come complete with dressing rooms and large terraces, stunning views across the capital and a team of dedicated butlers.
