Pampered guests at The Royal Horseguards Hotel will love the wide-ranging room service menu. To order breakfast, call the in-room dining team or place a menu card outside your guest room door. Breakfast options include a three egg omelet, eggs Florentine, eggs Benedict, poached haddock and eggs, Scottish smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, minute steak with a fried egg and grilled Manx kippers. Fruit juices include a glass of fresh orange, grapefruit, cranberry or apple juice. Guests may also order yogurt smoothies, fresh citrus salads with mint julienne, a mixed seasonal and exotic fruit salad or a piece of a whole fruit. Fresh breads include a selection of Danish pastries and croissants and assorted baked muffins. Waffles with seasonal berries and maple syrup are available, as well. The Health Kick Breakfast is a combination of hot and continental breakfasts for a healthier start to the day, including an egg white omelet, whole wheat toast, fresh fruit, stewed prunes, tea or coffee and a choice of fresh juice or a smoothie.
The 24/7 menu includes the soup of the day, Scottish smoked salmon, Buffalo mozzarella and plum tomato salad, Caesar salad, classic Greek salad, penne pasta with Arrabiata sauce, a grilled steak sandwich, a char-grilled chicken breast sandwich, a char-grilled beef burger, a vegetarian club sandwich and The Royal Horseguards Hotel Club, which is a triple-decker sandwich filled with a fried egg, smoked bacon, chicken breast, beef tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise. All of the burgers and sandwiches are served with fries. Guests looking for a special treat may want to order the Caviar D’Aquitaine with blinis, sour cream and a traditional garnish. Oven roasted sea bass fillet, a fillet steak, rib eye steak and fresh Dover sole is available, too.
Desserts include chocolate cake, traditional warm sticky toffee pudding, a fresh strawberry fruit tart, Earl Grey crème brulee, white chocolate and nut brownie, and a variety of ice creams and sorbets. A fine selection of British farmhouse cheeses is popular, as well.
Guests may order afternoon tea from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The signature Royal Horseguards afternoon tea consists of a fresh selection of savory bites and finger sandwiches, and homemade fruit and cinnamon scones served with Cornish clotted cream and fruit preserves. An array of miniature cakes and pastries is included, too.
Beverage service includes sodas, mineral water or sparkling water, fruit juices and fruit smoothies. An extensive wine list represents regions from all over the world. Wine or champagne can be ordered by the glass or the bottle.
