One Twenty One Two Restaurant at The Royal Horseguards Hotel offers a contemporary take on traditional British fare, sourced by local British food products and seasonable vegetables. You can dine there for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The restaurant’s name is a reference to Scotland Yard. The Old Scotland Yard was next door and 1212 was their telephone number. The dimly lit, wood-paneled restaurant is particular loved for its afternoon tea. This year the Tea Guild named the restaurant one of the best places to get afternoon tea — no small feat in tea-loving Britain. Portions of the terrace outside the restaurant are available for small group functions. On most nights, a harpist will greet your arrival into the hotel bar, Equus, which has a full cocktail menu, locally brewed ales and 18 types of Cuban cigars.
