The pool at The Beverly Hills Hotel is world-famous and it’s easy to see why — you’ll feel as if you’ve escaped to a secluded island getaway when you step out into the sun, surrounded by towering palm trees and private cabanas. The pool is lined with green and white lounge chairs, crisp white umbrellas and personal sunshades shaped like movie-set reflectors. Attendants are on hand to help you set up your chair, move your sunshade, provide frozen towels and even clean your sunglasses. Jump in the pool and you’ll get a nice surprise: Music plays underwater.
Full-service dining is available poolside at the Cabana Café, where you can order casual breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes such as sandwiches, salads and burgers. The cocktails and smoothies are rich and creamy — especially those mixed with housemade sorbet, such as the Rodeo, made with champagne, fresh mint, mango, Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur and lemon sorbet. If you want a twist on an old classic, go with the specialty margaritas, prepared with reposado tequila and flavors such as spiced pineapple and guava.
Big spenders can host an exclusive party in one of the 21 private cabanas, where you have access to flat-screen TVs, phones and personalized service. The pool is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., giving you plenty of time for quick dips, chilled drinks and sun-kissed color.
