Offered at the beginning of your meal, we found that the breadis great for a bite while you wait for your meal, but it won’t leave you stuffed and uncomfortable. The service includes a selection of focaccia, rye bread, house-made ciabatta, olive bread and parmesan crisps — a tasty combination and charming assortment that’s a great precursor of what’s to come.
However, be sure not to fill up entirely on bread, because you’ll want to save enough room for your main meal. We especially loved some of the midday fare, such as the grilled Havarti cheese sandwich on housemadeciabatta bread with tomato soup and the grilled garlic shrimp salad mixed with sweet peas, pea tendrils, tomatoes, ginger scallion noodles and crispy shallots.
