If you’re not in the mood for sorbet or cheesecake, opt for the selection of mignardises on the dessert menu at Circa 55 Restaurant. The Beverly Hills restaurant has a retro 1950s American flair, but the mignardises are decidedly French. For $18 you’ll get a chocolate pot de crème, which is a dark chocolate chilled custard, a decadent opera cake made with layers of almond biscuit, coffee butter cream and chocolate ganache, a miniature strawberry fruit tart and an assortment of macarons.
We think this little medley of desserts goes perfectly with a rich coffee from Silverback Coffee of Rwanda or a genmaicha from The Green Teaist, a specialty green tea shop and salon located inside The Beverly Hilton.
