There are those who still mourn the late, great neighborhood vibe of Patina in its former life on Melrose Avenue. But while it now has fancy digs at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the haute cuisine here is still exquisite. So go ahead and let the detractors complain — that just means you’ll have more room to admire the undulating interior walls and seamless service. You can’t go wrong with executive chef Tony Esnault’s daily or seasonal tasting menus, and don’t pass up the delicious desserts from pastry chef Sarah Koechling. Add to that a show at the Frank Gehry-designed concert venue, and your evening couldn’t be more magical than if, well, you were a 6-year-old at Disneyland.
