Los Angeles is the home of many celebrities. If you’re looking for a celeb hotspot, West Hollywood is definitely the place to go.
Check out the Sunset Marquis Hotel and Villas, The London West Hollywood or Sunset Tower Hotel. The Sunset Marquis has hosted more than a few members of rock ‘n’ roll royalty including Jimi Hendrix, U2, Foo Fighters and more. Inside is where you'll find Bar 1200 cocktail lounge where you will always see a famous face.
The London West Hollywood is a regular spot for stars including Khloe Kardashian, Sophia Bush, Harry Potter’s Tom Felton, Twilight’s Nikki Reed, Lost’s Emile de Ravin, Mena Suvari and several Glee and Modern Family stars on site. The Sunset Tower Hotel, located on the famous Sunset Strip is another popular place. Jennifer Aniston and fiance Justin Theroux celebrated their engagement with Courtney Cox at the hotel’s Tower Bar, and it was also the very first place the couple was spotted together in public, back in May 2011.
As the epicenter of the entertainment industry, spotting celebrities in Los Angeles is inevitable.
In the center of this epicenter, you will find Chateau Marmont. Director Sofia Coppola immortalized the historic property in her 2010 movie Somewhere, and it has also played muse to James Franco, Hunter S. Thompson and John Belushi (who died of a drug overdose in one of the bungalows in 1982), and has been known to be frequented by everyone from Scarlett Johansson, to Benicio del Toro, to Anthony Bourdain. Recently, one of its rooms has served as the infamous temporary residence of Lindsay Lohan. The Chateau's reputation for keeping things discrete (no photos allowed in public areas) makes it the perfect environment for A-listers to drink, dine and relax out of the paparazzi's sight. Make your lunch or dinner reservation early and ask for a seat on the restaurant's patio. You'll find top cuisine and people watching there.
Other spots frequented by celebrities include the luxurious Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Hotel Bel-Air and Beverly Hills Hotel. At the former, celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck caters to the Hollywood elite at his Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant. At The Beverly Hills Hotel not only can you spot the glitterati at the infamous Polo Lounge, try heading down the stairs to the casual Fountain Coffee Room, a favorite for a power lunch among those in the industry.
