Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech

A Moroccan haven of Oriental charm
VERIFIED LUXURY
Nestled amid nearly 50 acres of centuries-old olive trees and immaculate Moorish gardens, Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech looks like a dream.

Meander through the sprawling property and you’ll encounter private villas inspired by Berber and Andalusian-Arabic influences, all with secluded walled gardens, pools and Jacuzzis, extensive areas for sunbathing and shaded alfresco dining, and more than 100,000 roses all against the backdrop of the snow-dusted Atlas Mountains.

Opened in 2015 as Mandarin Oriental’s first outpost in Africa, the Marrakech hotel impresses in its interiors, too. The theme is relaxed luxury, with Berber and Arab-Andalusian touches throughout the light, airy spaces. You’ll also see it in the villas and suites, where coveted amenities like private gardens, plunge pools and more come alongside a desert-inspired palette that is utterly sleek but not in your face.
