What is the design style of The Charlotte Inn?

Answers from Our Experts (1)

Harkening back to an era of elegance and sophistication, The Charlotte Inn takes its design inspiration from the Edwardian era in England. Innkeepers Gery and Paula Conover spent oodles of time selecting the art, linens, accessories and furnishings that now grace the property to represent this bygone era. Four of the buildings that make up the inn have been styled in the same fashion. Surrounding the buildings are beautiful gardens featuring shrubs, colorful flowers, fountains, sculptures, ivy and plenty of seating areas to take it all in. If you meander through the main building, where the reception desk is, you’ll find Edwardian period furniture, artwork, books and photographs. To say this place is nostalgic is an understatement. If you like history and the finer things in life, this inn will take you back to a regal time of propriety and tastefulness.
