You’re in the right place for cocktail hour at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami. Order your drink poolside or visit one of the hotel’s two great bars. The lobby is home to M-Bar, where guests and local residents alike can be found lingering over the martinis and city views. There are a dizzying 250 martinis on the menu, organized in categories to guide your selection (sweet and tangy, naughty but nice). We like the Sunrise, made with Cuervo Gold tequila, Grand Marnier, grenadine and served with an orange twist.
The bar at Azul is another good spot, whether you’re dining at the Five-Star restaurant or popping in for a drink. Bartenders are knowledgeable about the extensive wine list, and will recommend signature cocktails such as Azul’s Manhattan 43, which blends bourbon with a Spanish liqueur and sweet vermouth. Champagne bottles stashed into built-in ice buckets on the bar add to the celebratory feel. You can order from the full menu at the bar.
