Turnberry Isle Miami is located in sunny Aventura, Florida, and while all guest rooms offer balconies from which you can admire the tropical setting, the best rooms are those that overlook the two 18-hole championship golf courses. Originally designed by Robert Jones Trent, Sr., and then refashioned by Raymond Floyd, the courses feature bright green paspalum fairways, doglegs and impressive water features, including a spectacular waterfall. It helps if you enjoy hitting the links to best appreciate these sights, but even non-golfers will enjoy gazing at the open skies peppered by Miami-style condos and tall swaying palm trees. Otherwise, the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended hotel also offers rooms with views of its swimming pool and the resort itself, all of which include glimpses of the plants and flora that made 16th-century explorer Ponce de Léon give the state its “Flowery Land” nickname.
The best thing about the guestrooms at Turnberry Isle is the view. With 36 holes on its property, it’s likely your guestroom will overlook at least one of them. Depending on what side of the resort you’re on, you’ll either enjoy sunrise or sunset views over the golf course.
