Il Mulino New York does not have a separate bar menu, but you can order off the main menu while you sit at the bar at the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended restaurant. On a recent visit, we actually enjoyed an entire meal at the bar. There was plenty of room to eat comfortably and the service was friendly and polished. When we arrived at the restaurant it was a busy Monday night and we made the mistake of not making a reservation. Thankfully, the host moved in an additional chair, placed us at the bar in less than a minute and handed us the full dining menu. The bartender whipped up a delicious signature cocktail and we were given a plate of the fried zucchini and a chunk of Parmigiano and salami to enjoy with bread. After a snack and some slow slips of a cocktail, our server presented us with the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended restaurant’s specials and helped us select some signature dishes.
Another great option for a more casual bite is the resort’s new Piazzetta Marketplace and Restaurant. Il Mulino and Acqualina teamed up to open the more casual restaurant, which offers pizza, panini and salads, cheese, gelato, sushi, coffee and more, plus a range of Il Mulino products such as olive oils and marinara sauces.
