Il Mulino New York does not offer wine pairings, but the Forbes Travel Guide recomended restaurant does have a vast selection (its menu spans eight pages) of fine wines, mainly from Piedmont and Tuscany. The extensive list of Italian pours includes white wines such as pinot grigio and chardonnay, and reds such as chianti and cabernet sauvignon. A short list of American wines includes Opus One, Magnificat and Profile — all from Napa. Order from the private cellar list or the large bottle reserve list (which has wine and champagne options). And the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended restaurant provides plenty of dessert wines to pair with its classic Italian sweets, like tiramisu. Although there are lots of different wines to sate you, we recommend taking a look at the Italian restaurant’s list of signature cocktails, housemade grappas and limoncello. The lemon grappa we sipped was a delicious digestif.
