As soon as you pass the hostess stand at Scarpetta Miami Beach, you’ll find yourself in the restaurant’s bar, a spacious room with small, white marble tables and a handsome bar to match. You could perch on one of the white barstools, but we suggest heading for the comfy navy and gray leather club chairs or the pale gray curved banquettes to enjoy your Capri cocktail, which combines Grey Goose La Poire vodka with VeeV açai liqueur, green apple and prosecco. If you long for an ocean breeze or simply want a better spot for viewing the sunset, there’s plenty of standing room on the adjacent terrace. A beachy motif is echoed throughout the wood-floored space at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant, and at times it feels like you’re imbibing on a luxury cruise liner. Behind the stacks of bottles, a striking black and white mosaic wall of interlocking circles complements the white marble bar. What we especially love about the bar, though, are the little architectural details that add to the nautical motif, like woven rope accents on furniture and gilded porthole mirrors.
