Food presentation at Scarpetta Miami Beach hovers between rustic and elegant. Many of the Italian restaurant’s beloved pasta dishes are heartily sauced, but there’s nary a noodle out of place, instead arriving to the table in a neat, orderly orb. You’ll find a feast for the eyes, since many entrées feature bright vegetable garnishes, be it whole peas or trimmed mushrooms and asparagus.
We were also pleased to discover that many of our dishes at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant were finished tableside. Our server placed a quenelle of creamy ricotta cheese atop our tagliolini with suckling pig sugo and also poured smoked onion jus around our pancetta-spiced swordfish. Of course little touches like these can be done in the kitchen, but we just love that personalized note when it’s done right in front of us.
