The dining venue at Cypress Inn is Terry’s Lounge, which is open throughout the day. Starting at 7 a.m., hotel guests are treated to a complimentary continental breakfast buffet with a variety of cold and hot selections served in Terry’s Lounge. On the weekends, Terry’s welcomes guests and the public for brunch that’s served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. While the breakfast is standard American fare, later meals showcase some of the menu’s Moroccan and European influences, as does the décor. The Moroccan chicken, served in a ceramic tagine, is one of the signature dishes. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. while dinner service starts at 5 and runs until 10 p.m. While Terry's gets its inspiration globally, it sources its organic food locally. Ingredients come from farmers in the nearby Salinas Valley, and it was the first restaurant in Carmel to partner with the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program to ensure all of its seafood is sustainably sourced.
If you’re looking for a light snack or a libation, you can find those at Terry’s Lounge or in Cypress Inn’s living room or the courtyard patio. The Carmel hotel honors the Old World tradition of afternoon tea from 1 to 4 p.m. daily. You may enjoy your tea anywhere you like, but just be sure to make advance reservations so it’ll be sure to bake enough scones.
