What are the bathrooms like in the rooms at Tradewinds Carmel?

Answers from Our Experts (1)

The guest bathrooms at Tradewinds Carmel are just as exotic and lavish as the other areas of the Asian-inspired guest room. The walls are covered in taupe travertine marble, while the floor is done in square tumbled slate tiles in hues of tan, brown and taupe. The most striking piece in the room of this Forbes Travel Guide Recommended hotel is the vanity, which is a fashioned from footed tansu-style vanity adorned with Japanese hardware and a speckled black-and-tan marble top. An oversized mirror with a wooden frame that evokes bamboo hangs over the vanity. Opposite the sink is the oversized jetted bathtub perfect for a long soothing soak with a botanical print hanging above it. A separate glassed-in shower with shiny silver dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and a toilet with a wall phone next to it round out the bathroom features. The only other thing you’ll find is a load of fluffy white cotton towels by Pan Im-Ex Pacific Lotus.
