Since The Restaurant at Meadowood has its own large garden on the large Meadowood estate, the menu teems with seasonal dishes. Chef Christopher Kostow uses a great deal of the garden’s produce to create his dishes. In fact, each season he gets together with the gardener to go over exactly what he’d like to plant to harvest the perfect menu. It explains how the traditional four-course prix fixe meal provides tastes of each season in every dish, like the heirloom tomato and wild plum with buttermilk, black sesame and shiso, or the carnaroli risotto with roasted chanterelles with brown butter. Chef Kostow likes to use only the freshest of ingredients — you will taste the difference.
