In a word, desserts at The Restaurant at Meadowood are heavenly: Executive chef Christopher Kostow and his staff are practically redefining the world of sweets at this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant.
Though you should keep in mind that the menu changes regularly, one of our most recent visits to this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant was during the summer, when a pre-fixe four-course menu with three dessert options was available. The first was a strawberry-and-pistachio Vacherin served with crisp meringues and lemon-balm ice cream, a light, tasty combination that perfectly fit the season. The next, which was called "To Quicken the Heart,” featured a playful panoply of umami, red cedar and buttered popcorn flavors that’s sure to please even the most precocious of palates. The last option, a fruit dish with angel food cake, green tea and caramel, flaunted an equally interesting mixture of flavors.
