Executive chef Christopher Kostow not only oversees the cuisine served at The Restaurant at Meadowood, he also wears the pastry chef toque.
Kostow honed his culinary chops at a variety of acclaimed restaurants around the world before joining this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant in February 2008. After graduating with a philosophy degree from Hamilton College in New York, he moved to San Diego and soon found himself creating his own dishes at well-respected restaurant George’s at the Cove at the young age of 22. Since then he’s worked at a number of restaurants in France, including award-winning Le Jardin des Sens in Montpellier, was sous chef at Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star San Francisco eatery Campton Place and top toque at Chez TJ in Mountain View, California.
As if that weren’t enough, Kostow has also bested Iron Chef Cat Cora in a close showdown on Iron Chef America — not bad for a chef still in mid-30s.
