Southern comfort in Nashville
340 Rooms / 9 Suites
Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville offers traditional Southern comfort in a modern-meets-industrial space inspired by Music City. Upon entering the sleek lobby, you are welcomed by stylish surroundings like a glass fireplace and a neon jukebox. While the hotel embodies Nashville’s unique blend of style and warmth, the staff is known for its hospitality and attentiveness.
Located in Nashville’s exclusive Midtown, it’s within walking distance of Vanderbilt University and less than a 10-minute drive from popular attractions like the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium and Music Row.
Each of the 340 guest rooms features contemporary furnishings — all gray, black and white with music-themed art hanging on the walls — and sweeping views of Nashville’s skyline. Amenities include iHome docking stations, Keurig coffee makers, 37-inch flat-screen TVs and blackout curtains. There are fully stocked minibars, desks and sitting areas, too.
After a long day, climb into ultra-plush beds that are covered with 100 percent cotton sheets and pillow-top mattresses. Bathrooms feature Nashville-inspired graphic wall coverings, travertine stone, black granite and artisan bath products by Davines.
The Food and Drinks
Mason’s and Mason Bar — named in homage to the South’s canning industry — combine Appalachian and European cooking techniques with authentic Southern flavors and fresh ingredients from local farms. The space itself is both relaxed and elegant, a hip spot for edgy cuisine. It is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
Mason Bar, on the other hand, is more of an edgy, upscale country bar with excellent cocktails that harken back to the days of moonshine (Stay at Home Dad features Woodford Reserve, coffee vermouth, mint syrup and bitters). In fact, you can order moonshine as well as Tennessee whiskey and locally made wine and beer.
And if you’re yenning for a good steak, you’re in luck — the Nashville hotel is also home to an outpost of Ruth’s Chris Steak House adjacent to the lobby.
Amenities here range from solid basics (complimentary WiFi, daily newspapers and wake-up calls) to big-time standouts (wakeup calls were recorded by country music stars like Vince Gill and Sugarland).
Coffee and tea are available in the lobby every morning, and there is a 24-hour business center. Loews has a great pet-friendly program that includes a welcome treats for dogs and cats, plus dog-walking routes, dog-walking services and even room service menus for pets designed by in-house chefs with the help of a veterinarian.
Kids are welcomed, too, with amenities like toys, DVDs, cribs, strollers and more, plus a free activity book and children’s menus.
The new house Mercedes will whisk you to any destination in town within three miles between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The luxury hotel is also equipped with a 24-hour fitness center featuring modern equipment with individual flat-panel TVs. Guests looking to kick-start a healthy lifestyle can participate in the Balance program designed by celebrity trainer, Erin Oprea, whose client roster includes Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Nettles. The complimentary program features a complete and private workout designed for guests to do in the privacy of their own rooms (housekeeping will bring a booklet of what to do as well as hand-picked equipment by Oprea).
In addition to fitness, enjoy specially designed healthy dishes on the menu at Mason’s — look for the barbell symbol.
