Heading up the kitchen at 1808 Grille is executive chef Jake Strang, who has quite the resume when it comes to food — and is no stranger to The Hutton Hotel, where he served as executive sous chef on the restaurant’s opening team from 2008 to 2013. Prior to his return to Nashville in 2014, Strang was the executive chef at Frescos in Wexford, Pennsylvania, where he was responsible for the restaurant and more than 10,000 feet of banquet space. Chef Strang began his career at Holly Inn and the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and also served as sous chef at the Nashville Symphony. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University in North Miami, Florida, in 2000.
