The design of Andaz Wall Street is urban and stylish and makes you forget you're in a hotel. Instead, this space feels more like an under-the-radar club — and one where you have the key. Designed by Rockwell Group — famous for their work on sets for the Oscars, among other things — Andaz Wall Street is set up as an "open concept" space. Take the rooms, for example. The loft-like design offers room to breathe. Think high ceilings, multi-functional furniture (including a media center turned vanity) and more. The lobby at the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended hotel is sophisticated and sexy. During our visit, a light installation featuring art by Simon Chaput was displayed on the walls of the lobby, a sight to see as you walked down the stairs to the lobby bar. And speaking of sights, that same staircase, which also leads the way to farm-to-table restaurant Wall & Water, is a glamorous piece in itself, made of sculptural pearlescent steel and stone. You'll discover it's the details that count most at this hotel — from the teardrop lights that dangle over the bar tables in Bar Seven Five to the spinning armoire that contains everything you need (at every angle you could need it) in each room.
