One of the coolest things about Hyatt Union Square New York is its focus on quality dining. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill hotel restaurants; in fact, an outside group (One Five Hospitality Group) leases the space. The hotel’s main restaurant, The Fourth, is an American brasserie that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Here, you’ll find options ranging from charcuterie platters to a burger topped with a sunny-side-up egg. Don’t miss a cup of coffee from the delicious European-style espresso bar.
As Hyatt Union Square is a newer hotel, you can expect new things to continue popping up — especially on the dining scene. In October 2013, the same restaurant group will debut Botequim, a South American restaurant with a heavy focus on Brazilian food. It’s located on the lower level (just below The Fourth).
On the other side of the lobby, you’ll find Singl, the comfortable lounge named after single-malt Scotch. It’s open from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. every day, and on Tuesdays you can indulge in Scotch tastings. Singl is a great place for light bites and a delightful libation to wash them down.
