The Chatwal Hotel may have just one restaurant, but it’s a rather good one. Located just off the lobby, The Lambs Club serves contemporary American cuisine from Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. The swanky eatery flaunts red leather banquettes, keeping in line with the Empire Art Deco design seen throughout the hotel, and attracts both hotel guests and New Yorkers for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
At breakfast, you can enjoy divine dishes such as the broccoli, cheddar and piquillo pepper omelet, which is perhaps one of the most delicious omelets we’ve tasted, and the stuffed French toast, which one diner said was the best he’s ever had. Lunch brings a few more substantial options such as The Lambs Club sirloin burger and a lamb gyro, while dinner offers a more expansive menu with appetizers, small plates and entrees. Weekend brunch includes a mix of both the amazing breakfast options (yes, the omelet and French toast are on the menu) and savory lunch dishes such as an ahi tuna Niçoise salad. On Sundays, you can enjoy the jazz brunch, during which a live band entertains the dining room.
