Trump SoHo New York has a total of 391 guest rooms, 145 suites plus 10 penthouses. Designed by the Rockwell Group, based in New York, they married uptown luxury with downtown style.
Unlike many duplex hotel suites, where there is a clear master bedroom and the second bedroom is to be desired, at the Trump SoHo, both rooms are created equal. The first floor has a living room/dining room and a half bath while the second floor also has a separate living room and full bathroom.
Your room style is completely up to you. Would you like duplex with a terrace? Or does having a living room and dining room appeal more to you? Let the sales people at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel know your preferences and they will find the room that’s perfect for you.
All rooms boast interiors by Fendi Casa — Trump SoHo was their first commercial venture. With that in mind, all rooms have leather tufted headboards, a bed bench at the foot of the bed and comfortable seating (either a comfy chair or couch) and a desk chair. The bathrooms are much larger than your average New York hotel bathroom. Turkish marble covers the floor and part of the walls, the bathrooms all have stand alone tubs and showers with a rain showerhead, and 50 percent of the bathrooms have windows over the tubs so you soak in the city view. About the same percentage of the bathrooms also have double sinks, which is something you can request. The decor, in a soothing palette of soft colors, provides the rooms with a contemporary elegance and style that complements the sophisticated design. Every detail leaves guests wanting to stay a little longer.
For your electronic needs, each room has a jack pack so you can plug in your smart phone, laptop, etc. You can also steam video from your laptop through the TV in your room if you are working on a presentation and would like to see it on the 42-inch flat-screen TV.
Each room is also equipped with a wet bar, which has a sink and complementary cappuccino, coffees, creamers and a microwave. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel also offers complimentary water at turndown and a standard minibar. In the closet you will find an iron, safe, robe, slippers, luggage rack, shoe horn and clothes brush (anything you can’t find, you can ask the front desk for).
Finally, the luxury hotel also offers condominiums that can be leased up to 130 nights per year, but you can only stay in one room for up to 27 nights before being moved to another suite. So plan your stay wisely.
