Atrium Restaurant is located just off the main lobby of the über-stylish NoMad Hotel in Manhattan’s Flatiron district, so you know that the interior design is going to be well executed. The NoMad and its Forbes Travel Guide Recommended restaurant were inspired by classic hotels in Europe, specifically in Paris. The main draw in the 120-seat dining room is the contemporary American restaurant’s namesake — and you won’t have to look up to realize that the space is bright and airy from an overhead pyramidal glass atrium. Throughout, you’ll see a Beaux-Arts theme, with a rosewood bar with sculpted wooden elephants flanking it, while framed photograph clusters add interest to the walls in the New York hotel.
