The bar at Del Posto is a great place for you and your dining companions to have a pre-dinner cocktail. If it’s just two of you, sidle up to the bar and order one of the house specialty cocktails. Larger groups can sit at some of the high-backed leather booths across from the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant's bar and nibble on tasty bar snacks while perusing the menu. We love the Autumn in New York — a warming rye whiskey-based drink that’s made with fig preserves and served with dried figs pierced with a silver pick and perfectly laid across the single, craft ice cube in the center of the glass. More classic mixed drinks like a Negroni or a gin and tonic are also available, and the bartenders (or should we call them mixologists?) are of such high caliber that they should be able to put together just about anything you’d like. There are also several sparkling wines by the glass as well as a selection of both red and white Italian wines.
