You won’t find a kids’ menu at New York restaurant Jean Georges. The Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant, one of the finest in the world, offers elegant French food prepared with Asian ingredients. Not ideal for family dining, the multi-course tasting menus feature complex, sophisticated dishes such as Santa Barbara sea urchin with black bread, jalapeño and yuzu, and foie gras brûlée with sour cherries, candied pistachios and white port gelée. There aren’t any chicken nuggets or pizza here. However, if your child has a more developed palate, ask your server for recommendations on dishes that might be more appropriate for your young foodie.
