Penticton is situated between the beautiful Okanagan and Skaha lakes on an alluvial plain. Beyond the lakes are fertile orchard lands and rolling hills. Penticton is famous for its peaches and other fruits. Because of its prime location, Penticton is sometimes called the land of peaches and beaches. Grape-growing and wine-making have become very important in the Okanagan Valley, producing some fine wines.
