Many of the rooms and suites at The Jefferson Hotel feature beautiful marble fireplace mantels that are original to the hotel. But if you’re looking for a roaring fire, the fireplaces are only ornamental.
If the fireplace option still intrigues you, there are four types of suites available at the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel. The grandest is the Jefferson Suite, which offers more than 1,400 feet of space for guests, including four separate rooms. It includes a parlor with a baby grand piano and French doors that open to a marble balcony overlooking historic Franklin Street. If four rooms, three fireplaces and dining seating for eight isn’t enough space, the suite can be connected to a room with two double beds to expand.
There are 6 rooms and 9 suites in The Jefferson Hotel that feature fireplaces. Due to the age of the building, the fireplaces are no longer operational but guests can enjoy the ambiance that they create nonetheless. Each mantel is original to the hotel and was handcrafted by artisans of the time. The mirrors above each fireplace are also original, dating back to 1895. Guests might enjoy wondering about the other guests who have stayed in the room before them (over the past century) and glanced into the same mirror — particularly those in the Jefferson Suite.
