An updated capital city hotel
Hyatt Regency Sacramento is a modern, polished and spacious hotel located steps from the California State Capitol. Originally built in the mid-1980s, the 504-room hotel’s exterior evokes that era with its Juliet balconies. Still, a 2011 renovation transformed the interiors and guest rooms, introducing a contemporary color palette and design scheme that mixes earthy colors and unexpected shapes inspired by nature. Rooms now have the prerequisite duvet-topped beds and flat-screen TVs, with plenty of workspace and wireless Internet access.
Though it’s surrounded by buzzing restaurants and bars in downtown Sacramento, the Hyatt Regency has its own dining options to keep you onsite — Dawson’s steakhouse, Vines Café and Amourath 1811 — which serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. You’ll also find outdoor terraces, a pool and fitness center with a full range of cardiovascular machines. The city's convention center is a block away, the Sacramento River is several blocks and Sacramento International Airport is 12 miles.
