Andaz Savannah’s style is contemporary urban in a boutique hotel setting. Even before entering, the floor-to-ceiling windows set the stage for a modern experience. Its striking exterior overlooks the most recently renovated Savannah square, Ellis Square. Upon entering the luxury hotel, light floods in onto the large area that houses the lobby, bar and adjacent restaurant and shows off the clean lines and slightly industrial open space. Oversized spoke-like lamps jut horizontally above the bar and nooks, the latter feature low seats in shades such as lime green and orange as well as handcrafted wood tables. The handmade, low-seated wood furniture comes from local designer Harley Ashbaugh. The rooms are cozier renditions of the lobby with heavy window treatments and bolder furniture in reds and animal prints.
