What is public transportation like in Savannah?

Savannah is a great city for walking thanks to its small size—only 2 square miles encapsulate downtown. However, there are a couple of fun options that become their own adventure like Pedicabs and the Savannah Hopper, an 8-person golf cart that’s super cheap. There are public buses that run constantly, mostly keeping to the outer streets of Savannah's grid layout, and plenty of cab companies exist too and prowl the streets late-night for the bar-goers. Recently, Savannah’s Chatham Area Transit has rolled out a bike share program as well, and since Savannah is a fairly bike-friendly town with a few dedicated bike lanes, hopefully it will continue to grow.
