A Washington State Mountain escape
The Lodge at Suncadia draws inspiration from the décor of lodges in Mount Rainier and Olympic National Parks, with gabled architecture and artful stonework on the exterior. Inside, custom furnishings influenced by the hotel’s natural surroundings add to the lodge’s mountaintop rusticity. The property is built above the pristine Cle Elum River, which slices through an evergreen-spiked valley surrounded by the snow-capped Cascade Mountains. Views of this untouched wilderness abound.
The Lodge’s 254 rooms range from guest suites to penthouses, drawing families, adventure travelers and business travelers alike. Rooms are sleek and minimalistic, with calming earth tones and flagstone gas fireplaces. Stainless steel appliances outfit spacious kitchens, and deep soaking tubs form the centerpiece of the bathrooms. Each room also has a private outdoor balcony for taking in the scenery.
The Lodge is part of the larger Suncadia Resort, a sprawling 6,000-plus-acre complex with an inn, vacation homes and condominiums. The resort also boasts an 18-hole golf course and driving range; a swim and fitness center with a combination lap and leisure pool, water slides, children’s wading pool, saunas and steam rooms, and cardio and strength-training equipment; a spa offering massages, facials and outdoor mineral baths; and numerous on-site outdoor recreation activities including an ice skating pavilion, basketball and tennis courts, jogging path, hiking and mountain biking trails, paddle boat and kayak rentals, horseback riding, fly-fishing, cross-country skiing, and bicycle and motorscooter rentals.
