There are two jogging routes near Grand Hyatt Shanghai, and guests can pick up jogging itineraries at the concierge desk. Both routes are in Pudong — one along Binjiang Da Dao, a wide boulevard abutting the river; and the other is towards Nanpu Bridge, which is much farther from the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel. Do note that jogging has not caught on in Shanghai, and you’ll rarely see runners, save for a few foreigners. So keep in mind that it’s important to listen to the concierge about where it’s safe to run and where you should avoid; heavy car congestion is prevalent in Shanghai, and many sidewalks are far too crowded for joggers.
