On the outside, JW Marriott Shanghai at Tomorrow Square looks like something out of the future. The building starts from a square base and moves into a diagonal square, soaring 935 feet into the air. You’ll find green carpeting dotted with white diamond shapes, dark wood night tables, Chinese art above the bed and celadon armchairs. In the Shanghai hotel’s public areas, including the 38th-floor lobby and corresponding lounge, the luxury hotel’s designers drew inspiration from Shanghai. Wraparound windows provide sweeping views of the surrounding cityscape, which includes leafy People’s Park and busy East Nanjing Road, a store-lined pedestrian street.
