The rooms at Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai are full of special amenities that will make your stay comfortable and luxurious. There’s free cable Internet and paid Wi-Fi in all the rooms, plenty of outlets, iPod docks and ergonomic desk chairs. Grand Tower rooms also have DVD players, Bose radios with remote controls, in-room fax machines and bedside switches that control the lighting, drapes and temperature. Some rooms come with brown boxes containing a deck of cards and a mini mahjong set.

To drink, there’s Perrier, Evian, Sprite, Coke, Diet Coke, juice (orange, apple, cranberry and mango), Schweppes tonic, Carlsberg, Tsingtao, Red Bull and, of course, tea (you are in China, after all).
