The table settings at Mr & Mrs Bund were conceptualized by the chef, Paul Pairet, to carry out his vision for the serving style and the atmosphere of the contemporary French restaurant. Pairet’s approach was to create a space where most dishes can be shared by all the guests at a table, family-style. The tables themselves are wide and have a custom-designed brushed metal extension that provides an extra area for dishes to be placed so all diners can reach them. Pairet also designed a slick black box for flatware, water tumblers of varying translucent colors and even the water pitchers. Crisp, black linens cover the tables, which are adorned with large white plates with a decidedly modern bent. The result? Pristine tables that look both unique and relaxed.
